On the eve of the stay home initiative the looming decision lies imminent. The streets nearly empty, the city noise quieted, the traffic barely in site, you already feel like everyone is prepared for a lockdown.
It is an eerie sight to see hardly anyone on the streets. For small business and restaurant owners reeling from the effects of COVID-19, the anticipation and uncertainty is all here as you can see it in their eyes. We can hear it in their voices, as we all don’t know what’s going to happen next. We don’t know how long this Statewide mandate is going to last.
However there are few people out there still clinging onto their businesses and waiting until the last hour until a total Statewide lockdown. These are some of the pictures from Downtown Los Angeles and from my city. I had to do my part and go out there and talk to them and hear their stories.
